For the purposes of the Privacy Act, this entity is the APP entity that collects and holds personal information described below.

2. Collection notice (APP 5)

We collect personal information when you submit an application or contact form on this site, email us, or otherwise deal with us about management or related services.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details (name, email, and any handles or URLs you provide)
• Platform information (primary adult subscription / social platform)
• Approximate earnings band (optional)
• Free-text goals or messages you choose to send
• Technical metadata needed to operate the form securely (time of submission, and limited request metadata for abuse prevention)

Sensitive information

Information about adult-platform activity, earnings, and related career goals can reveal or imply sexual orientation/practices or other sensitive information for Privacy Act purposes. We only collect that information with your express consent (the checkboxes on the application form), and only where reasonably necessary to assess fit and respond to your enquiry.

Why we collect it (purposes)

• To review applications and contact you about fit for Snail services
• To schedule discovery conversations and keep pipeline records
• To operate, secure and improve the intake and CRM systems
• To meet legal obligations if they apply

If you do not provide it

We cannot process an application without name and email. Optional fields can be left blank; that may limit how well we assess fit.

How we collect

Mainly from you directly via the website form or email. We do not scrape creator platforms for applications.

Usual disclosures

Personal information from applications is usually disclosed only to:

• Operators and authorised contractors of Snail Media & Management
• Hosting and infrastructure providers that process traffic for the public site and authenticated intake relay (they must not use the data for their own marketing)
• Professional advisers (for example solicitor or accountant) where reasonably necessary
• Government or courts where required or authorised by Australian law

We do not sell applicant lists. We do not auto-send messages on creator platforms from the public intake form.

Overseas disclosure

The public site and intake relay may be hosted or edge-cached outside Australia. That can involve disclosure to overseas infrastructure providers. Where practicable we will note the countries or regions of those providers in this notice once production hosting is locked. Routing of personal information through overseas transit points may also occur as ordinary internet use.

Access, correction and complaints

How to access or correct your personal information, and how to complain, is described in sections 6–8 below and in this privacy policy generally.

3. Consent

By submitting the application form and ticking the consent boxes, you consent to Snail collecting and using the personal (and any sensitive) information in your application for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent by emailing [email protected], noting that we may need to retain limited records where the law requires or where we still need them for an existing engagement.

4. Use and disclosure (APP 6)

We use and disclose personal information for the primary purposes above, related secondary purposes you would reasonably expect, where you consent, or where required or authorised by law.

5. Security and retention (APP 11)

• Application data is stored in an access-controlled CRM (SQLite on operator infrastructure), not in public git or public logs.
• Encrypted daily backups of CRM data are taken; restore steps are documented for operators.
• Public intake goes through a narrow authenticated relay with body-size and rate limits — the CRM and n8n are not exposed directly to the open internet.
• We keep application records only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify them unless a longer retention period is required by law or an active engagement.

6. Access and correction (APP 12 & 13)

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period. Identity verification may be required before releasing information.

7. Complaints

Contact [email protected] first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Children

Snail’s services and this website are for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe we have, contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this notice. The “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes affecting how we handle application data will be reflected here before or when they take effect.

10. Legal status of this draft

This document is an operational draft prepared for launch readiness. It is not legal advice. A solicitor must review and approve this notice (and related creator agreements) before Snail treats it as final counsel-approved wording. Until then, applications may still be accepted under this published draft.
